Patricia's Story
Posted by Norbert on 2007/11/19 22:08:48 (4 reads)

When met Patricia over one year ago, she was an alcoholic. Originally from the UK she has been married to Domino, a Thai musician for 10 years. She opened her heart for the Father to come and set her free, and even though it was a long battle, she slowly experienced deliverance from her addiction. Then tragedy struck. Driving home on her bicycle late one night she was attacked and severely beaten in the head with a blunt object. You can read a detailed account of this in Helen's Blog. Helen's Blog

In the meantime she is recovering well, but needs another operation in order for the brain surgeon to put back part of her skull bone that had to be removed during the first surgery. There is a big unpaid bill at the hospital, and the frozen skull bone is only good for another 4 months. On behalf of Patricia we have called in all directions for help, but nothing has come through so far. Would you pray with us for a financial miracle?

Blessings,
Norbert

dtst-ASIA

The dtst-ASIA discipleship Training School is set up and ready to go. We are currently accepting applications for the school in February 2008.

Also, we have uploaded a video trailer that you can access under "downloads". It comes in two version, one in medium quality, and one in high quality. You can freely use them in your homegroup, church, or simply pass them on to friends.

The trailer does not yet have the school in Chiang Mai on it, but a new version should be ready shortly.

vccm Training Program
Posted by Norbert on 2006/10/10 11:47:00 (11 reads)

We are in the final planning phase for our training program called dtst-Asia (doing the stuff training – ASIA). This will be a fourfold approach to train and equip harvest workers. These are the four options that will be available in 2007:

• dtst-intensive is a three-months discipleship school with an emphasis on hands-on training, and experiencing God.

• dtst-team is a tailor-made short-term training and outreach program for individual church groups

• dtst-intern is an opportunity for churches to send leaders-in-training to do a 3 to 6 months internship with VCCM, and our friends and partners.

• dtst-seminar are training events for the local body, as well as new believers.

Stay tuned for more…

NATIONAL PRAYER CONFERENCE

Summary of Cindy and Mike Jacobs’ conference

This year Bless Thailand Prayer Network hosted a conference in the beginning of this month. They invited Cindy and Mike Jacob to be the speakers. Cindy is a prophet as you may already know. She had given some very specific prophecies about Thailand in the past that have come to pass. One being a warning about terrorist movement in the south of Thailand. Not many months afterwards, terrorism became the most pressing problem in the deep south and is still going on today.

This time she and her husband spoke and gave many specific prophecies about Thailand. I will try to summarize them here so that you may know how to pray for Thailand specifically.

1. Youth Movement and Purity Movement

She said that a youth movement is arising in Thailand and it will be characterized by holiness. Isaiah 35 - the highway of holiness was mentioned several times. The young people are going to turn to the Lord in large numbers and they are going to say \"No\" to sexual sins. Purity will be their hallmark. They will have the passion of God burning in their hearts.

She said that there will be revival breaking forth in Universities, colleges and schools across the nation. From such people, God is going to raise reformers who will reform Thailand in politics, economy, banking and finance, education, medicine, arts and media.

2. Mission Movement

Thailand will mobilize, train and send young people into mission fields in the neighborhood nations and also into north India, Tibet and the Middle East. (For those who know Thailand, this has never been done.)

3. Transformed nation

Cindy prophesied that Thailand will be a transformed nation in the next 10 years. That brought a great deal of hope and encouragement to all of us who were gathered there (about 900 people). She and Mike also taught us that before transformation there needs to be a reformation and we all are to be part of reforming our spheres of influence to be in alignment with the Kingdom of heaven.

4. Revival starting in the North

This is not new and has been prophesied before. But it is good to receive confirmation on that. Cindy said that revival will start from the north (where we are) and spread from there to the rest of the country. That makes us who live in the north to be more accountable in initiating and maintaining the move of God when it comes.

5. Others

She mentioned about medical research breakthroughs, economic revival, etc. Mike prophesied that there are some hidden treasures in the north waiting to be discovered for financing the Kingdom work. Cindy repeated a number of times that a time will come when it will be hard to find a prostitute in Thailand. (Prostitution is a big problem in Thailand). We also are to take the cause of unborn children and stand against abortion in Thailand.

It was an interesting coincidence that they came around the same time as our King\'s celebration of the 60th year of his accession to the throne. Monarchs and their spouses from all over the world were here for the celebration. Cindy drew a parallel to Isaiah 60 and prophesied that kings will come to the brightness of Thailand\'s rising. She encouraged pastors to preach from that chapter this year.

Mike and Cindy plan to be back here in two years to check on our progress.

Favor with God and Man...
Posted by Norbert on 2005/12/11 10:59:37 (9 reads)

We had planned our first open-air worship in the city park for December 3. When we asked permission from the mayor's office to use the park, we got a favorable response, and the following day they shocked us with this: The city had planned to have a special ceremony for the opening of the night park on the 1st. Now they changed it to the 3rd, and we were asked to supply the "entertainment" for the occasion. Both the mayor and the governor of Chiang Mai were present for the opening ceremony. When time came to cut the ribbon they asked us to come up and "assist" them. We then had the opportunity to pray God's blessing on the city and to invite His kingdom. Altogether, we worshipped God for around two hours, and even though the crowd was not huge, we were able to make a public statement, and honor the King of kings in our midst. A warm "Thank You" to all of you that came and supported us through your prayers and presence. It was a great blessing for us to see the Body of Christ united in such a way, and we know that it pleased our Lord!
